Hidalgo County Sheriff deputies have arrested a suspect they believe killed a man whose body was found in Abram.

The sheriff's department says the victim is 29 year-old David Martinez and an autopsy shows Martinez was bound and then shot to death. Through the investigation, deputies arrested 40 year-old Roberto Garza who confessed to being involved with the kidnapping and murder of Martinez. Garza told deputies that Martinez had stolen drugs from him a week prior to the incident. The sheriff's narcotic unit also raided Garza's home and found over 3,000 pounds of marijuana.
