He didn't bear a badge, but had other equipment that could easily lead one to believe he was  a man of the law. NewsCenter 23 Na'Tassia Finley has more on a Matamoros man charged with impersonating an officer.

A 20 year-old Jorge Lara Zuniga faced a judge on Friday and was charged with impersonating a public servant. He is accused of patrolling through Brownsville in a unmarked vehicle with a siren and having drivers pull over so that he could pass them. Several drivers along Expressway 83  and Paredes Line road called 911 to report  Zuniga speeding through traffic with the siren on forcing drivers to clear out of the way.

Police Chief Garcia says it's the policy of the police department to not pull over a driver in an unmarked unit, a clear logo on the unit will let you know that who's approaching you car, is the real thing. Zuniga's bond was set at $5,000 dollars and the vehicle was impounded.
