Suspect Charged in Walmart Robbery

Police have arrested one of the suspects accused of robbery at a Walmart store this past weekend.

Luis Yanez has been charged with aggravated robbery and is one of two suspects caught on a surveillance video of robbing the store. The video shows two individuals entering the store and then a short time later exiting with merchandise that was not purchased. Employees say when the two suspects were confronted and detained that one of them pulled out a gun. Yanez is believed to be the person who pulled the gun on the employees and police continue to search for his accomplice.

Weslaco Police Officer J.P. Rodriguez stated about the accomplice, "This person is described as someone who might be in his late teens, Hispanic male. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with red shorts and at this time we are still trying to get him identified, so we definitely appreciate any help from the community so he can be charged as well."
