Rogelio Maldonado Jr. was released from a McAllen hospital and arraigned on Saturday and is accused of killing his cousin.

Maldonado was charged with first degree murder, possession of  a controlled substance and resisting arrest. Investigators say Maldonado shot and killed his cousin, 37 year-old Luis Gonzalez, last Wednesday in McAllen at the intersection of 26th street and Dallas. Maldonado's bond is set at over $1 million dollars.
