EDINBURG — Police arrested 18 year-old Jose Cuevas at a Walmart for stealing  some packages of pens and pencils.

Police report that the security guard tried to stop three teens from stealing the merchandise when one of them pulled a knife on the guard and attempted to stab him. Cuevas was not the one who pulled the knife but appeared in court to face charges in the crime.
