A San Benito man has been arrested and accused of wire fraud in the investigation of former State District Judge Abel Limas.

According to the allegations, 52 year-old Jose Manuel Longoria worked with Judge Limas to allow a man convicted of aggravated assault to report by mail rather to his probation officer in person for payment of money. Longoria allegedly was wired 1,800 dollars as part of the scheme to pay the judge to enter an order authorizing the probationer to report by mail.
