Suspect arrested after threatening Hidalgo County Sheriff on Facebook page
HIDALGO COUNTY, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Hidalgo County Sheriff deputies have arrested a man after he made several threats of killing Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino.
On Friday, October 25th the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Department filed a offense report against Adan Alonzo Arguelles, 31, after he allegedly posted several threats, on October 23rd, on a news outlets Facebook page stating, "I'm going to kill Lupe Trevino just watch."
Arguelles was identified through his Facebook account and a records check indicated Arguelles had previous arrests for unlawfully carrying a weapon, possession of marijuana, burglary of habitation and assault. Additionally, Arguelles' Facebook page showed an image of himself holding an assault style weapon.
Arguelles did provide a voluntary statement where he admitted posting the threats.
On Wednesday, November 6th, Hidalgo County Sheriff deputies arrested Arguelles at a home in Mission.
