Weekend tornados tear wide swath of destruction across the Midwest.

Tornado ally lived up to its name this past weekend.

Nearly 100 tornados touched down across the southern and central plains Saturday and into Sunday, killing at least six and injuring more than two dozen others.

Six people were killed by the violent twister that ripped through Woodward, Oklahoma, including a father and his two young daughters.

89 homes were destroyed in Woodward alone.

Woodward is now cleaning up, with help from volunteers.

Yvonne tucker and her son are alive because of a shelter inside their Wichita, Kansas mobile home park.

"It saved my life," Tucker said.

Their home was not lost, and there was little left to be salvaged.

Tucker says she found a few family photos, but little else.
