Surfs Up For Wounded Soldiers
Surf lessons help wounded warriors with rehab.
They spent years fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan's war zones, losing limbs and suffering other traumatic injuries for their country.
Now eight soldiers are in Santa Cruz, California learning to surf as part of their rehab.
Operation Surf was developed to help wounded warriors live life to the fullest.
The seventh annual event brings injured soldiers from the Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas to Surf City.
Two Santa Cruz surf schools, Amazing Surf Adventures and Richard Schmidt Surf School, host the week-long outdoor sports event.
