New Orleans is under alert as Tropical Storm Lee churns off the Gulf Coast.
Forecasts say Lee could dump as much as 20-inches of rain in some places, raising concerns of widespread flooding and a wash-out of the upcoming holiday weekend.
Still, for some the rain is a welcome sight.
"If we got three quarters of an inch, or we got one inch, you know, and not all in 30 minutes, it would be nice. Even a half inch would be nice," says Mississippi farmer Louis Lazarri.
In New Orleans flood gates built after Hurricane Katrina are ready.
So are shelters and evacuation plans for thousands threatened by the storm.
Forecasters say the high-winds and rain could last several days.
