Daycare and summer camps can be expensive, but the IRS wants to reminds parents about a simple tax credit that can help cover those costs. The tax credit named, the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit, could get you up to $3,000 dollars to pay for daycare, summer camps or just a stay at home sitter depending on your salary. It is easy to apply for as Irma Trevino from the IRS states, "If they send their kids to summer camp during the day, make sure they have a receipt with the EIN number and the total amount that they pay."
