Two stunt men are being hailed heroes after rescuing a distraught woman dangling from a 14th floor balcony, John Carrol shows us cell phone video of the rescue.
The shouts from the street were frantic, the scene up above, heart stopping.
"We looked up... About 14 stories up and this girl was on the outside of the rail preparing to go."
Police told 10 News the woman was intoxicated, depressed over the ending of a relationship. Gregg Sergeant and his crews bolted into action, first they had to scale a fence, then they found a building security guard, he let them in and they raced to the 14th floor.
"Burst into the room and she was on the patio... She'd even closed the door so we couldn't get to her."
But that wasn't about to stop these guys, they slide open the glass door, then Sergeant grabs her in a bear hug, while his comrades Scott Schecter and Amos Carver rushed in behind to help.
Fortunately Carver was already wearing scaffolding rigging, "It was just real easy to grab something off and throw it around her and yank her entirely back in."
And the sounds of panic on the street turned to sounds of joy. The comparisons between these pretend heroes and real life ones is tempting, but it's not what these guys want, "It's natural for us... It's a little different for us... It's instinctive with our training to just respond and do what we did. We're just glad that everybody's ok."
