Study Shows Homemade Remedies for Jellyfish Stings Don't Work

A new study shows that old school ways of treating jellyfish stings aren't really that helpful. Homemade remedies such as vinegar, alcohol, meat tenderizer, baking soda and urine just don't ease the sting as would hot water and lidocaine, which is a local anesthetic. Scientists report those old methods may actually trigger more pain.
