Students at Jackson Elementary School Learn About Recycling

Students at one McAllen elementary school learned the importance of recycling at an event called No Waste for  A Day.

Students at Jackson Elementary school learned about how important it is to make recycling an every day task. Every single item that the students used was biodegradable including their lunch. They then learned how to separate papers and plastics from trash and school officials say it was the students who created this event. The event was one of many projects of the Keep McAllen Beautiful organization and the school will receive a grant that will add several trees to the grounds on Monday.
