Storms On The Horizon
Powerful weather system set to strike the Midwest.
A new wave of severe weather is threatening some of the same areas devastated by deadly storms last week.
Just like last time, the new system is producing tornadoes, hail and high winds.
The St. Louis area got a taste of it early Tuesday with high winds and damaging, baseball-size hail.
Illinois, Indiana and Ohio should brace for impact later this evening.
Much of the South, including North Carolina, is expected to be spared from this new line of storms.
Cleanup from Saturday's outburst of tornadoes there continues.
The death toll in North Carolina stands at 23 and damage costs are climbing.
They're are more than $100-million.
More than 800 homes and several hundred more businesses were damaged or destroyed.
Meanwhile, strong winds are feeding destructive fires in south Florida, where seven brush fires broke out in Martin County Monday night.
They're even bigger in Texas.
Another dry, hot and windy day resulted in more fires that have already scorched more than a million acres.
