McAllen — People across the city of mcallen are in the process of cleaning up what the unexpected storm left behind.
The destructive storm has left a lot of debris and much clean up work for residents and the city of Mcallen.
We met back up with resident Pedro Urra who is picking up the pieces as his house sat in 6 inches of water yesterday, after the storm.
Urra says cars continued to drive on the flooded road, pushing water into his house.
Mcallen High School was one of the three schools in the Mcallen Independent school District that sustained the most damage.
Clarie Hargis is the Sophomore class president and says it's rewarding to know that she has the support of the students body.
The cleaning started at 8 a-m and there were over 120 students that came out to pitch a helping hand.
The school is on schedule to resume classes monday.
