The use of road spikes will soon become illegal in the state of Texas as State Representative Aaron Pena who filed the bill on Monday.

This comes after last month's incident where Alfredo Sandoval used spikes to veer off law enforcement in a car chase. Sheriff Trevino expressed his concerns about the use of spikes against law enforcement to representative Pena. Pena says the spikes pose a serious threat to the lives of law enforcement and innocent bystanders caught in the vicinity of a pursuit. Other border security legislation filed by Pena includes the creation of south bound checkpoints along the border to stop the flow of illegal cash and weapons into Mexico.

He said they the're going to do every little thing they can to stop this. They can do little more then scratch the drug trade in the first place and they think they can put a lid on nails? Dont get me wrong, I dont want criminals to have these things, but I cant see how they are going to stop all this with a new law, when they cant stop the drug trade thats against the law already. Making these things illegal is going to be just as effective as making drugs illegal. Criminals dont care about laws
