If you're registered to vote and using your driver's license to identify yourself at a polling site you might be surprised if your not on the registry roll. State officials are advising voters to check their status to see if they are registered to vote at the Department of Public Safety since there may be some administrative mix ups. Cameron County Election Administrator Rogelio Ortiz stated it's always important to check your status, "We do have a couple of instances where the information didn't come to us, but the DPS has been very helpful in looking for that information, finding it and then correcting the situation."
