Some schools are following the advice of the CDC and TEA a opening sooner than they planned.

Harlingen CISD has their doors shut for a few days now because of the H1N1 virus. The CDC has issued new guidelines saying it's now safe for schools to resume. Superintendent Steve Flores is taking that advise. They were supposed to have their doors closed till May 11but with all the sanitary precautions flores says they are ready to resume classes on Friday.

Next week Brownsville will resume classes. We talked with some concerned parents in the district who have mixed emotions about letting their children return back.

Meanwhile, Harlingen CISD say they are still on track to have graduation as planned for May 30th.
