Sky High Arrival
Baby born on flight from the Philippines to California.
Normally a baby crying on a plane means trouble, but on one flight from the Philipines, it meant relief that a baby born onboard was okay.
Aida Alamillo was just eight days from her due date when she boarded the plane in Manila Monday night.
The doctors cleared her and she was feeling fine, until she went to the bathroom and felt labor pains.
Flight attendants put her on a couch in business class and went looking for medical professionals.
Three nurses came forward and helped Alamillo give birth to a healthy baby boy.
Alamillo, now a mother of four, says that while this was her most unusual delivery, it was also her easiest.
"When I see my son crying and then look up, all the people around him, rounding his eyes like this? It seems like he knows everything that's happening," she said.
Both mother and baby Kevin Raymar Francis Domingo were taken to a California hospital after landing, and yes, Francis is in honor of his first visit to San Francisco.
