HIDALGO COUNTY - Six people have been sentenced to federal prison after they took part in a scheme to defraud the American Family Life Assurance Company also known as AFLAC.

A U.S. District Judge sentenced the six people to terms of imprisonment without parole each and followed by a three year supervised release. The suspects will also have to pay AFLAC back between $20,000 to $70,000 dollars each.
