Sister and brother arrested for possession of marijuana

San Juan police arrested four individuals involved in the transportation of several hundred pounds of marijuana.

On Friday, August 30th around 4:30 p.m. undercover officers received a tip, through their Crime Stoppers line, about a blue Chrysler van transporting bundles of marijuana from home.

Officers located the van, driven by a female with a male passenger, on the 800 block of East FM 495 and attempted to make a traffic stop. The driver sped off, striking another vehicle, but both the woman and the passenger were apprehended.

Through their investigation, officers identified the woman as, Jessica Yesenia Morin, 26, and the man as Arcadio Morin, 21, both sister and brother.

Police found 12 bundles of marijuana weighing nearly 262 pounds, investigators additional arrested two other men, identified as Andres Ramos and Francisco Medina-Palomo, for being involved in the transportation attempt.

All four will be arraigned on August 31st on possession of marijuana charges along with charges for evading arrest.
