Las Vegas' famed "Sahara" sign comes down.

A 60-year old Las Vegas landmark is officially switching names.

The Sahara was the second oldest hotel left on what is now called the Las Vegas Strip.

The location was once a selling point, but the north end has been struggling in recent years.

Investors hope that a major overhaul of the casino will be completed by fall of 2014.
