Focus turns to looming debt-ceiling deadline as government shutdown continues. Brian Mooar reports.
(NBC News) The government shutdown is now in its eighth day and both sides are talking about talking to each other.
But House Republicans, Senate Democrats and the White House are all talking less about the shutdown and more about another impending crisis.
The focus is shifting from Obamacare to a debt ceiling crisis nine days away.
Republicans are demanding significant spending cuts.
President Obama, meanwhile, is holding out for a clean bill now and budget talks later.
