Shots Fired At Border Patrol Agents

MISSION- A shoot out between Border Patrol agents and drug smugglers on the Mexican side of the border ends with hundreds of drugs seized.

It happened in South Mission along the Rio Grande late last night. According to Border Patrol officials, their agents spotted two rafts in the river. Border patrol agents were immediately shot at by smugglers on the Mexican side of the river and agents fired back, fortunately no one was hurt.

Agents were able to confiscate nearly 550 pounds of marijuana. U.S. Federal authorities along with the Mexican Government are investigating the case.
