BROWNSVILLE - Police responded to a shooting in the parking lot of Sunrise Mall at around 6:30 PM this evening.

Witnesses say two vehicles were involved in a accident in the parking lot of the Dillard's department store and shots were then fired into one vehicle. One victim was sent to the hospital and a second person was detained by police. The second vehicle involved in the accident left the scene and police are on the lookout for that vehicle.
