Shooting Outside McAllen Nightclub

McAllen Police search for an alleged shooter tonight after shooting an 18-year-old outside a bar.

Officials say it all happened around 3 a.m. Sunday when a man, suspected to be a member of the Tri-City Bombers Gang, and 18-year-old, Manuel Montes, got into a fight in the parking lot outside Bar-Rio. That fight escalated when the suspect pulled out his gun and shot Montes.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Montes on the ground with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to McAllen Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police say Montes remains in the hospital tonight but he seems to be doing well.

Police search for a man nicknamed "Biggie". He’s described to police as a Hispanic man, about 5’7” and about 160 pounds. He was seen driving away in a blue Pontiac G6. Police say the suspect is armed and dangerous.
