MCALLEN-  A man was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon and police have arrested two men in which police believe are involved in the shooting. It happened around 2 p.m. off 26th street and Dallas Ave. Luis Manuel Gonzalez ,37, was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound and later died.

Police have two men in custody Wednesday afternoon, one of the suspects was also taken to the hospital with an injury to his foot. police say they've recovered the weapon they believed was used in the shooting.

"Right now we have an on going investigation. we are at the very beginning of the investigation. As soon as other details can be confirmed we will release that to you but right now we have an on going investigation into the death of an individual. We have what we believe to be the weapon to be recovered," said Sergeant Joel Morales of McAllen Police.

No word if the shooting was drug or gang related.
