An investigation into a shooting in the upper Valley leads the Sheriff's Department to bust an armed robbery ring.

After investigating Monday's shooting involving two brothers at the Indian Hills East Subdivision near Mercedes, the Sheriff's Department suspects they're both a part of the armed robbery ring.
Police believe members of the ring burglarized 8 places over the last couple of months.
Enrique Quintanilla, Freddy Munoz, Jesus Rico and Juan Villacana all faced the judge this afternoon and were charged with aggravated robbery.

"We have siezed clothing that was used in the robberies and that's important because the clothing was very distinctive. The jackets they were using were very distinctive with particular designs and those designs were clearly shown on the surveillance videos," said Hidalgo County Sheriff, Lupe Trevino.

Sheriff Trevino says they have recovered some of the guns used, but are still looking for more.
More arrests are expected in the future.
