Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison spent the day in the Valley to talk trade and the future of the I-69 corridor.

The Senator is a proponent for the proposed corridor that will connect the Valley to Mexico, through Texas and all the way up to Canada. She told a crowd on Thursday that 63% of the truck born trade with North America makes its way along the route etched for the corridor. She says some red tape is standing in the way of getting I-69 done, but she's already funded money to help get the corridor one step closer to complete.

The Senator agreed the Valley is quickly growing and the need for the corridor is even more important with all the area's growth.
