A portion of University Drive at 6th Street is closed due to a malfunctioning railroad arm. The railroad that runs across University Drive is owned and operated by Rio Grande Valley Switching Company. Company has been notified about the problem.

City officials hope to have the problem fixed as soon as possible as this roadway is considered the main artery for vehicles traveling to UTPA, City Hall, and the Hidalgo County Courthouse.

Updates as they become available.
