Passenger jet crash lands in Newark after landing gear fails.
A plane was forced to make an emergency landing Monday night at Newark Liberty International Airport after experiencing problems with its landing gear.
Moments after touching down the plane's nose landing gear collapsed.
None of the 71 people on board were injured, but passengers reported some frightening moments.
Authorities say Flight 5124 landed around 6:20 p.m. Monday, shortly after the pilot was approaching the airport to land as scheduled and noticed a landing gear problem.
The airport was closed for about an hour after the landing.
