Call it a case of catch me if you can! Mission police released a picture of 33 year-old Jorge Ricardo Galvan who also goes by the last name of Hernandez.

He is wanted by police for stealing several identities from people living throughout the Valley in order to obtain credit cards. Police are still trying to piece together how he obtained the victim's social security numbers, addresses and full names. Police found out he was at it again after running names at a Mission apartment complex after making an arrest there in a different case.

He was arrested back in 2004 for credit card scheme abuse and was released earlier this year. The extent of the damage is not know, but it is said that he has taken out thousands and thousands of dollars from ATM's. Police believe he could be any where from Reynosa to Brownsville. If you have any information that could lead to his arrest please call Mission Crime Stoppers at 956.581.8477.

Here are some tips police say you can do to prevent yourself from being a victim of identity theft.

- Report suspicious activity
- Review your credit report and contact your creditors immediately if you note any suspicious activity.
- Don't throw away important information items into your trash, including credit card offers, ATM receipts, bank       statements and utility bills, all contain personal information.

Thieves can collect this information and use it to steal your identity and if you want to throw away unwanted personal documents, the best way to discard them is by shredding.
