SAN JUAN - The San Juan Police Department arrested a convicted cocaine dealer for once again selling cocaine out of his home.

Gilberto Garcia, 49, was arrested at 228 E. 2nd Street. Police conducted surveillance on the house for several days before requesting a search warrant.

When they got inside they found a large amount of cash and 144 grams of cocaine already packaged for sale.

This bust is part of San Juan's Operation Curbside, an initiative that targets street level dealers.

"The street level dealers are the one's that exchange cocaine for stolen goods, stolen property. So our users are breaking into house and vehicles, taking the property they took and exchange it for cocaine," said Sgt. Rolando Garcia, San Juan Police Department.

Only one arrest was made Monday. Garza will be arraigned Tuesday for possession of a controlled substance.
