SAN BENITO — San Benito Mayor Joe Hernandez is now under indictment on charges surrounding an illegally operated snow cone business that once sat on the property of his own barber shop parking lot. Mayor Hernandez is accused of ethics violations, tampering with evidence and abuse of official capacity, but the mayor has denied any wrongdoing. A court date has been set for Thursday November 1st.
