June 14th is not only the Army's 238th birthday, it's also the 236th birthday for the American flag, also known as Old Glory.

Two members of Elk's Lodge a national organization, which was the first to observe Flag Day, spoke about the importance of the day, and what it means to them.

Norma Williams, one of the members, stated, "we spend a lot of time working with our veterans and these banners represent our veterans."

Earl Groh, exalted ruler of San Benito Elks Lodge, "I am a veteran, I served in vietnam, and uh, I'm very sentimental when I see the flag flying. I'm very sentimental when I hear veterans who are fighting for our flag. It literally brings tears to my eyes when I know that a veteran has sacrificed and given all to fight for his country."
