The Salvation Army may be forced to cancel a popular summer camp that helps children discover their musical talents.

The program called SAMMY, Salvation Army Musical Institute, helps up to 50 children expand and develop their musical ability. Campers choose to learn about an instrument such as the guitar, drums, piano, choir, drama and musical theory, but the camp may be cut. The Salvation Army says they need to raise $30,000 dollars for the camp to continue by May 15th. To learn more about the program or to find out how to help call (956) 682-1468.
