Salvation Army to Offer Literacy Classes in McAllen

Wednesday, August 31, 2011 - 9:16am
The McAllen Literacy Center is passing on their program to the Salvation Army because of the tough economy.
It was a place for migrants to learn the English language, take computer classes and improve reading skills all for an affordable fee. Thanks to a new partnership with the Salvation Army, the classes will continue, just at a new location. The program will now fully run as part of the Salvation Army.
