Running Around The World
Irish runner's globe-spanning trek brings him to Illinois.
Imagine running a marathon, but instead of resting the next day, you decide to run another marathon and another the next day and the next.
That's exactly what Tony Mangan is doing.
Every day for three years.
Mangan started his run around the world in his home of Dublin, Ireland.
Since October 25th he has averaged 28 miles a day.
He's currently making his way across Illinois.
"The plan is to run through the states all the way through Mexico into South America," he explains. "Then from there I cross the Pacific through New Zealand, into Tasmania through Australia. Into Indonesia into Malaysia through southeast Asia and into China, I turn left at China."
If all goes well, Mangan's run around the world will end on October 28 2013.
