BROWNSVILLE - The construction work being done on West Morrison road will cause the closure of the entrance to Home Depot and Academy Sports store in Brownsville.

The closure is expected to delay motorist in the area for a couple of more weeks. The $3 million dollar project, that will expand Morrison road into a four lane street, is meant to alleviate congestion on Alton Gloor and FM 802. The new road that will expand out to Alton Gloor will supply motorist with another roadway to Morrison and is intended to provide growth for the city.
