An economic council in the Valley is working towards making the Rio Grande Valley a competitive market.
The Rio South Texas Economic Council combines local governments, economic development organizations and several stakeholders. They're trying to find other ways to bring more jobs to the Valley. Hidalgo County Judge J.D. Salinas says if they work together, there's a bigger opportunity those big corporations looking to place their company in a region will look at the Valley. That would then create more jobs in our area and boost the economy.
During a special meeting on Thursday, the council unveiled their new logo and their website http://www.riosouthtexas.com
