RIO GRANDE CITY - Police have identified the body found in an alley in Rio Grande City on Tuesday.

The victim was identified as Jose Antonio Salinas Sanchez who suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach. Police believe he was killed at another location and then his body dumped in the alleyway. A voter registration card was found on the body and indicated that Sanchez is from Salva-Tierra Guarra Jarto, Mexico. Police are still trying to communicate with the Mexican Consulate as they continue to search for the suspect.
