BROWNSVILLE - On Thursday evening a ribbon cutting ceremony took place for the new location of the Friendship of Women organization.

The new location is located near the intersection of Old Port Isabel road and Price road and the building provides much needed space for consulting and legal advocacy to victims of domestic abuse. The organization has been in Brownsville since 1977.
