Brownsville City Commissioner Edward Camarillo was inducted into the Rio Grande Valley Walk of Fame on Wednesday evening at Hidalgo's Border Fest.

The City of Hidalgo and the Border Fest Association were among the organizations that selected Camarillo for the award. The Hall of Fame celebrates life, achievements and significant civic contributions of outstanding men and women in all walks of life in communities around the Rio Grande Valley.
