It's an issue that's hitting hard at home and also affecting millions of illegal immigrants from a pathway to U.S. citizenship.

On Tuesday President Barack Obama will rally public support in Las Vegas to help make improvements to the legal immigration system and border security.  Many Hispanics here in the valley say they expect alot from Obama when it comes to this reform.  Many of them feel that it has been long overdue. Many hopefuls trying to obtain legal status in the U.S. believe that both the democrat and republican lawmakers should come together and work on a plan.

Meanwhile, Obama's new proposal would allow undocumented workers to register with the government, pay fines and back taxes, undergo a criminal background check and learn English.
after eight-years individuals would be able to become legal residents and eventually apply for citizenship.

On the other hand conservative republicans believe that we should have a different focus and prioritize securing our borders and also cracking down on company that are hiring illegals.
