Reward Money Increased for Wanted Fugitive

EDINBURG - Reward money has been increased for tips leading to an arrest for a Edinburg man wanted for murder.

For the month of October, Texas Crime Stoppers is offering an additional $5,000 dollars for information leading to the arrest of a 28 year-old Ernesto Alonzo Garcia. The increase in money brings the total of the reward money to $12,500 dollars for leads to Garcia's arrest. Garcia is wanted for murder and aggravated assault in the stabbing incident of two men last March. He is also wanted for marijuana trafficking and has had previous felony convictions. He is described as having a scar on his left arm, a tattoo on his upper left arm and the name Garcia tattooed on his back.

Anyone with information about Garcia is asked to submit a tip through the DPS website or call Crime Stoppers at 1.800.252.TIPS.
