Cameron county's new reverse 911 system, that began on Wednesday, has proven so successful that it's become a problem for residents to register for the service.
So many people are registering for the new cell phone service that phone lines are being jammed and calls are not getting through. County officials are asking people to wait a day or so to register to receive emergency cell phone calls online. Since there's no impending emergency, like a hurricane, right now officials think there's no problem asking people to wait.

NOT A PROBLEM TO WAIT ?
Never know when an earthquake will hit and a tsunami will be the next impending danger.
Must always make certain a new system is in line to enable everyone to be a part of the emergency system before releasing information about it. Folks need to all have the same opportunity to provide for their own safety with a newly opened plan.
