Rescuing Horses

Horse breeders in Louisiana are racing against time to save dozens of abused thoroughbreds.

Horse breeders in Folsom, Louisiana are struggling to save about 50 horses that were rescued from a farm in Many, Louisiana.

For some of the rescues, veterinarians are hopeful about their future, but many of the foals’ futures are not so bright.

The animals were in bad health from poor conditions and were not being fed at the farm.

A number of Folsom area ranchers and trainers came forward to assist with finances and feed to help the horses.

Unfortunately, some of the horses are not taking to the treatment and care provided by volunteers in the past two weeks.

The rescuers will not stop trying to save as many of the horses as they can.
