Rescued Pups Will Be Adopted
These are images of you may remember on September 20th where the pups were rescued by Cameron county emergency officials found near water up to 2 feet deep, .in total 13 were rescued..
"There was a variety of conditions some were malnuirished and some were infested with flees or mites."
Officials say not all 13 belonged to the same owner. Since then one has died, some dogs are with one of the dog owners, and the other nine remain at the Cameron County Animal shelter in good condition.
"The county is now in possesion and ownership of this puppies the owner has relingished ownership so we are going to put them up for adoption and at the end of the day that's our concern make sure they are well taken care of, and that they go to a good home the only condition is they have to be neutered."
Judge Carlos Cascos says at this time charges have not been filed against the owner.
"I am not sure what's going to happen it is in the District Attorney's hands at this point, I haven't heard if they are or they are not."
For now Judge Cascos and the Cameron county animal shelter want to find these pups a happy new home.
