Republican Party Chair for Hidalgo County Speaks on Latino Vote
HIDALGO COUNTY - The election season officially kicked off on Wednesday night and Rick Santorum made quite a statement by coming in second to Mitt Romney in the Iowa Republican Caucus.
Regardless of the candidate, what are some of the issues concerning the Latino vote? NewsCenter 23 spoke with Javier Villalobos, the Republican Party Chair for Hidalgo county, who said, "No one has been as tough on the Hispanic community as current President Obama. We've never had so many Latino broken families caused by an administration as this one. So whoever comes out, they have to understand that the Latino community is coming up, it's rising and they will have to deal with that."
Mr. Villalobos says whoever the Republican nominee may be, if elected president, his first order of business should be making adjustments to the Dream Act.
